The peanut butter part of the Ideals was slightly salty, and that is what made it so good. I never got over losing the Ideal Bars. If we get enough attention it will spread like wildfire. When Nabisco first started, the biscuit cookies and crackers were stored in large bins, or cracker barrels and sold at country grocery stores by the scoopful. Aside from this, I remember not only the great flavors of those treats but the sheer QUALITY of them and all of Nabisco products. Still crave them . They were so delicious out of the refrigerator. I was telling my children and my husband about it. Pretty close! This cookie was by far the most delicious blend of flavors you could ever ask for. I also feel the same way about the old Hershey 'Bar None' candy bar, which only lasted a short timeduring the 1990's.
